Effectiveness of Ruxoltinib Cream to Treat Non-Segmental Vitiligo in Kids

In this study we want to learn how well a cream called Ruxolitinib works to treat vitiligo on the face and body of children between 2 and 12 years old.

Why this Research Matters

There are two groups in this study so that we can learn how well the cream works to treat vitiligo. Group 1 will use the Ruxolitinib cream. Group 2 will use a placebo cream. A placebo looks the same and is given the same as the medicine being studied but has not active ingredients. Your child will be randomly assigned to one of the groups, like flipping a coin. If your child joins this study, they will attend 11 study visits at Children's Hospital Colorado over the course of about 1 year. At these visits we will do physical exams and ask questions about your child's health. We will use a needle in their arm to collect blood samples. We will also have you/your child fill out surveys and we will take pictures of their skin. Your child will be paid $50 for every visit that they complete.

Who can Participate

Child and Teen

Your child may be able to join this study if they are between 2 and 12 years old and have non-segmental vitiligo on their face and body. If your child is interested in joining our study, we will do other tests to make sure you meet other requirements and that it is safe for you to join.
