A Phase 3, Randomized Double-Blind Trial to Evaluate the Safety, Tolerability, and Immunogenicity of a Catch-Up Vaccination Regimen of a Multivalent Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine in Healthy Children and Adolescents

A Study to Understand the Safety, Tolerability, and Activity of a Catch-Up Pneumococcal Vaccine in Children and Adolescents who may or may not have received prior doses of a pneumococcal vaccine.


Why this Research Matters

In this study, participants will be randomized so that for every 3 people in the study, 2 will receive PG4 (new vaccine) and 1 will receive 20vPnC (currently in use). Each participant will take part in this study for about 6 months. During this time, there will be 2 study clinic visits and 1 phone call. Participants will have 2 blood samples collected.


Who can Participate

Child and Teen

Healthy children who are between the ages of 15 months to 5 years of age. Children less than 2 years of age need to have received at least 2 prior doses of the pneumococcal vaccine.
