Identity Healthcare Experiences in Chronic Pain

This study wants to learn more about unfair differences in health and health care for people with chronic pain.

Why this Research Matters

Chronic pain affects many people in the United States. Some groups have more pain and more trouble getting care. This can lead to worse health outcomes. Things like race, gender, income, and education play a significant role. Researchers still do not fully understand how these factors work together to impact health outcomes. This study will look at how race, ethnicity, and language may affect health outcomes in people with chronic pain. This study will also look at how everyday discrimination, feelings of being treated unfairly in healthcare, and stigma related to chronic pain affect health. What researchers learn may help health care providers and leaders improve care for people with chronic pain. It may also help them better understand how different life experiences can affect health.

What to Expect
