Helping Teams Work Safely Together: A Study for Students in Clinical Training

We’re doing this study to better understand if healthcare students feel safe speaking up and working together in team-based care. Your input can help us learn how to build stronger, safer healthcare teams for better patient care.

Why this Research Matters

This study wants to learn when and how healthcare students feel safe to speak up when practicing as a healthcare team. Sharing your experience may help improve how future healthcare teams work together.

What to Expect

If you join this study, you’ll be asked to do two things: 1) Fill out a short survey about yourself. This will take about 5–10 minutes. 2) Join a one-on-one Zoom interview where you’ll talk about your experiences working in a healthcare team. This takes about 45 to 90 minutes.

Study Duration

You’ll start with a short online survey to see if you qualify for the study (5–10 minutes). If you qualify, you’ll have one virtual visit that will take about 45 to 90 minutes. The entire study will take about 100 minutes.

Who can Participate

18 and above

You may be able to join the study if:

  • You’re a student in a health program like nursing, dental, pharmacy, physical therapy, physician assistant, anesthesiology assistant, or public health.
