We are looking for Hispanic or Latino adults with a low-grade glioma brain tumor (grades 2 or 3) to join a new health education program. In this program, we will talk about what low-grade glioma and how genes affect it, how to get ready for a doctor visits, how to find help in your community, what are quality of life needs, and how to take part in research.
There are many helpful tools and programs to support people with low-grade glioma. But not many are made for Hispanic or Latino people living with low-grade glioma. We hope this program, and your ideas, can help change that.
You will have up to 3 sessions via Zoom with a community health worker called a promotora. You will get a workbook with all the program materials. You might be asked to complete surveys or interviews to help us learn how well this program works. You can do the sessions, workbook, surveys, and interviews in English or Spanish.
You will have up to three Zoom sessions with a promotora. If you are asked to help evaluate the program, you may do two short surveys (about 20 minutes each) and one interview (about 45 minutes).
