AI and Oculomics for Systemic Disease Detection

UCH and CU are partnering on the Oculomics research study over the next five years. The primary goals of this study are to identify ocular risk factors (biomarkers) associated with preventable blindness and to detect changes in the retina that may serve as new biomarkers. The study will also use artificial intelligence as a diagnostic tool to help identify signs of systemic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, Parkinson, and Alzheimer diseases. We are recruiting any willing participant from Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Endocrinology, Neurology, and Cardiology. Also, any participant registered with UCH or CU EMR that has been seen in any of the mentioned medical specialties.
