Perspectives on Cancer Screening in the Sexual and Gender Minority Community

The purpose of this study is to understand the LGBTQ+ community's knowledge, attitudes and behaviors on cancer screening.


Why this Research Matters

The purpose of this study is to understand the LGBTQ+ community's knowledge, attitudes and behaviors on cancer screenings. Study participation involves a brief survey and a short interview. Participants will be compensated with $100 for their time and effort.


Who can Participate

Adult

- identify as LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, asexual, intersex and others who identify as part of this community) - Have a history of smoking - are 45-80 years old - identify as LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, asexual, intersex and others who identify as part of this community) - Have smoked at least the equivalent amount of cigarettes in a pack a day for 20 years - are 45-80 years old
