The goals of this study are to refine the implementation and pilot test the feasibility of an adapted cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), the Balanced and Empowered EaTing in Diabetes (or the BEET Diabetes Program), compared with the original CBT program, delivered by behavioral health providers to treat disordered eating behaviors (DEBs) in patients with type 2 diabetes in real-world clinical settings.
The study is currently recruiting integrated behavioral health providers in clinical settings with patients with type 2 diabetes. Once integrated behavioral health providers are recruited, they will be randomized and trained to deliver and test the implementation of one of two behavior change programs.
