In this study we want to collect baseline data on how well treatment works for kids and adults with pulmonary arteriovenous malformations.
A pulmonary arteriovenous malformation (PAVM) is when the veins and arteries in your lungs are not connected as they should be. This can lead to other health issues. Often, PAVMs are treated with a procedure called embolization. If you or your child joins this study, you will not need to come to any extra visits. All parts of the study will happen during you or your child's routine doctor’s visits. The first part of the study will happen after your doctor schedules you to have an embolization. Before the embolization happens, we will use an ultrasound to take pictures of the PAVM. Then, at your checkup visits 1 month, 1 year, and 3 years after the embolization, we will use the same ultrasound to see how well the embolization worked.
You or your child may be able to join this study if a doctor has diagnosed you with a PAVM. Both children and adults can take part in this study. If you or your child is interested in joining this study, we will need to make sure you also meet other requirements.
