The Intersection of Oncology Care and Worker Well-Being
The WeCanWork research study at the University of Colorado Cancer Center wants to learn how a cancer diagnosis impacts work, finances, and general well-being for employed people undergoing treatment. The research team hopes to find ways to lessen the negative impact of cancer on employment by focusing on working patients.
Why this Research Matters
Jobs and finances are big concerns for patients and their families. By participating in this research study, you will help us find better ways to support working cancer survivors through their care journeys.
You will receive a free, virtual, appointment with a work specialist to receive individualized guidance about work and treatment.
The study team is asking patients to take two surveys online.
If you choose to participate, participation will not cost you anything, and you will be paid $50 for each survey you complete. You will not have to travel or make extra in-person trips to the clinic. Your participation in this study can be done remotely.
You may be eligible for this study if you are:
- Being treated for cancer at a UCHealth location
- Employed or want to continue working during treatment
