Effects of Inspiratory muscle strength training on exercise capacity in Type 2 Diabetes
Primary Objective
Primary aim: Assess the impact of 6-weeks of inspiratory muscle strength training on endothelial function in people with diabetes as measured using flow-mediated vasodilation and endothelial biopsy. Secondary aim: Assess the impact of 6-weeks of inspiratory muscle strength training on cardiac, skeletal muscle function and cardiorespiratory fitness using echocardiography, near infrared spectroscopy, and peak oxygen consumption (VO2peak).
