MitoQ supplementation for restoring aerobic exercise training effects on endothelial function in postmenopausal women

Description
The purpose of this research study is to see if we can improve exercise training responses on heart health in postmenopausal women.
Main Procedures Involved:
Sleep monitoring, exercise and/or antioxidant intervention, assessment of bone mineral density and body composition, ultrasound of blood vessels, cognitive and quality of life assessments, blood draw
Duration of Participation: Participation will include 6 in-person visits lasting between 1-3 hours each – visit will take place before and after a 10-week intervention..
The whole study will span approximately 14-16 weeks.
Details
Adult
1) Postmenopausal 2) Women age 50 years or older 3) No uncontrolled high blood pressure 4) Non-smoking 5) No history of cancer, diabetes, or cardiovascular/heart disease 6) No use of hormone therapy currently or in the last 6 months
