Primary Objective

This study aims to create a model that can predict Bipolar Disorder. We will do this by studying the mental health history and MRI brain images of adults ages 18-40 with mood disorders.

Description

This study will use the mental health history and MRI brain imaging of young adults with Major Depressive Disorder and Bipolar disorder to develop a model that can predict Bipolar disorder in youth.

Main Procedures Involved: Mental health diagnostic interview with a licensed mental health clinician, questionnaires, brain MRI and urine drug screening.

Duration of Participation: This study is one 3.5 hour visit.

Adults ages 18-40 with mood disorders.
No serious medical conditions.
