Gut microbiome effects on intestinal barrier function in metabolic syndrome in HIV positive men who have sex with men

Primary Objective

This study plans to learn more about metabolic syndrome in people living with HIV (PLWH), specifically men who have sex with men (MSM). Metabolic syndrome is prevalent among PLWH and has been connected to gut health. We plan to investigate the cause of metabolic syndrome in MSM and PLWH.
