Exploring Factors in Patient and Family Consideration of Treatment for Pediatric Central Nervous System Tumors
Primary Objective
This study plans to learn more about what factors are most important in making decisions about cancer care. Patients have either recently been diagnosed with a new Central Nervous System (CNS) Tumor or have recently had a relapse of a CNS tumor and further therapy is indicated by the treating physician.
Description
Interviews will be conducted by a member of the study team at two separate time points. Questions about your treatment and different factors that are important to you when making decisions about your treatment. The interviews will be audio and video recorded by the study team. Only study team members will have access to these recordings. You have the option to include your parent(s)/caregiver(s) in the interviews. If they will participate in the interviews, they too, will sign this consent document with you.
