This study plans to learn more about the effectiveness of hearing aids when provided in different methods (i.e., service delivery models). This study will compare over-the-counter (OTC) hearing aids that are self-fit, self-fit with remote support, fit by a hearing healthcare provider, and traditional prescription hearing aids.

This study plans to learn more about hearing loss using samples from a family trio (participant and both biological parents) and/or additional relatives. The goal of the study is to better understand the genetic variants that may underlie hearing loss.
To study how infants’ ability to differentiate speech sounds develops and how this ability affects other measures of auditory development.
