Meibography in Unilateral Eyelid Paralysis
Adult
Patients 18 years of age, or older, who have unilateral eyelid paralysis.
If you join the study, you will have a total of one research visit- this can be combined with your regular office visits. At the study visit, you will fill out a questionnaire on dry eye symptoms and have your Meibomian glands measured. To measure your Meibomian glands, we will use a specialized camera to take a photo of the glands in your upper and lower eyelids. The camera does not touch the eye or eyelid, but the research staff will need to touch your eyelids to take the picture. The questionnaire will take approximately 5 minutes to complete and the Meibomian gland measurement will take approximately 15 minutes. We will also measure how often you blink and the position of your eyelids.
